Meant to mention - I have my license back now, and technically only have one instance of law-breaking on my record. It's funny how it all worked out, but I'm not complaining. The whole hearing made me laugh, since I was the only one not there on a marijuana or domestic violence charge, AND my philosophy professor from McIntosh (both times I went) was there as a probation officer. I hope I made her proud! Anyway, Wayne's getting my car fixed for me, then I'll be mobile again.
'Nother news bit: Wayne is buying a house. The top of the list right now is a beautiful old A-frame on a lake, formerly used as a camp. It isn't a "we" project (meaning he's buying it, I'm just living there) but I was given the task of decorating once it's been revamped. I'll post some photos sometime to show you. It's really nice. It has a fireplace, woodstove, central air conditioning, a barn-turned-garage with a partially completed apartment on the second floor. The master bedroom is a loft with a ladder, which will probably turn into a wrought-iron spiral staircase, if dreams come true. The price is unbelieveably low since it's been on the market for so long, so we'll have lots of money to play with in updating it.
And I finally get my garden! He said I can have some garden space no matter where he buys, and if he gets the A-frame... I can't even tell you. Tomatoes for everyone!
Right. So I'm going to go be a little more productive now.
